The principal activities involved in the realization of Kibanda projects include the following:
Collaborating with the Central Development Office in Rome and other Development Support Offices, (SOMA, U.S.A., IODO, Ireland, SOLSEF, Portugal) in coordinating developmental assistance
Delivering orientation and training to new Provincials on policies, procedures and requirements relating to Kibanda project applications
Providing technical support and advise to project applicants
Brokering financial support and liaising with our partner agencies
Raising funds for the annual Kibanda budget
Distributing grants approved by the Kibanda Board of Directors
Advising project beneficiaries of the documentary and reporting requirements
Communicating updates to our benefactors and beneficiaries through the quarterly Kibanda Newsletter and our new Kibanda website
Ensuring best practice for accountability and transparency through in the submission of Annual Financial Statements and Annual Activity Reports to the annual Kibanda AGM, the annual UCE AGM and the charity regulatory authority in Belgium
Updating policies, procedures and project related contractual forms on a regular basis in accordance with regulatory requirements
Holding and documenting regular Board Meetings and Board Sub-Committee meetings in the interests of best governance practice
Hosting “face to face” meetings with visiting overseas Superiors, Bursars and Development Coordinators and otherwise, communicating with them via digital means such as SKYPE and ZOOM, etc.
Identifying weaknesses and new requirements within our systems and appropriately addressing these.
